Muhammad T. Alameldin

Muhammad T. Alameldin is the founder of Housing Policy Innovations, a consulting firm that delivers expert insights and strategic guidance to help governments and entrepreneurs turn their transformative urban visions into reality. Since its founding, Housing Policy Innovations has secured over $250 million in funding, influenced several local and state laws, and greatly expanded their clients networks.

Widely recognized for his work at UC Berkeley’s Terner Center for Housing Innovation, Muhammad leverages cutting-edge research to inform housing policy at local, state, and federal levels. His career is marked by significant contributions to policy reforms that tackle systemic racial inequities, expand paid internships, and improve income distribution strategies. He has also been a driving force in streamlining the production of accessory dwelling Units to missing middle housing and also LIHTC affordable housing.

Muhammad serves on the boards of both the Casita Coalition and the Rockridge Community Planning Council. His expertise has been featured in various outlets, from The Atlantic to The White House. Muhammad is a proud alumnus of the University of California, Berkeley. In his free time, he loves to ride his bike and explore what the world has to offer.
